Mobile add-to-cart rate on the top-traffic product page from 1.95% to 5.08% in 28 days
- Brief
- The store's highest-traffic product page was also its weakest converter. On an iPhone the add-to-cart button sat below the fold, 85% of visitors never scrolled that far, and the most-tapped element on the page was the close button of a newsletter popup.
- Built
- Rebuilt the mobile first viewport: quantity and add-to-cart on one row above the fold, details open by default, spec icons moved down. Popup switched from on-load to 40% scroll depth store-wide. Shipped as a reversible template, measured on a 14-day cadence against a matched baseline.
- Result
- Mobile add-to-cart 1.95% → 5.08% (+161%), channel-controlled 3.66% → 10.31%, while the two product pages that were not touched stayed flat. Store-wide session-to-order rate 0.69% → 1.04% on flat traffic in the first month. Reported as directional, not as proof — and that is how I report it to you.
